Four more exhibitors for RVE

Four companies have joined the growing list of exhibitors for Modern Railways RVE, the UK’s original dedicated rolling stock event, including two first-time attendees. Transport Design International, Blocksil Coatings Innovation, Crowle Wharf Engineers and Porterbrook Leasing have all confirmed their attendance at the show, to be held at Derby Arena on 5 November.

Attending Modern Railways RVE for the first time will be Transport Design International. Founded in 1987, TDI is an industrial design and engineering consultancy which specialises in developing bespoke solutions for road, rail and marine-based transport applications. It is currently a key player in the Revolution very light rail programme being developed in the West Midlands.

Also making a debut appearance at Modern Railways RVE is Blocksil Coatings Innovation. Blocksil promotes advanced, sustainable solutions to specific application challenges, with energy saving and labour costs a speciality. The specialist coatings consultancy was set up in 2012, primarily to serve the roofing industry, but has since broadened its scope to include rail.

Returning to Modern Railways RVE will be Crowle Wharf Engineers. CWE was established in 1966 to work in the power, steel and rail industries. Over 60% of its business is in rail, with bogies and parts refurbished and manufactured at its Crowle site and a specialist coupler site at Worksop.

One of Derby’s most familiar rail business will also be exhibiting at Modern Railways RVE in the shape of Porterbrook Leasing. One of the three original train leasing companies set up at privatisation, Porterbrook owns more than 5,000 passenger and freight vehicles and is developing innovative solutions to enhancing its portfolio through its FLEX programmes.

In addition to exhibiting at the show, both TDI and Porterbrook have already confirmed they will be sending buyers to RVE Meet The Buyer, organised by Rail Forum Midlands. Supplier applications for RVE Meet The Buyer are now open through the Rail Forum Midlands website at
