A dedicated stand at Modern Railways RVE will showcase innovations from organisations within the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN).
UKRRIN, a collaboration between academia and the industry, has established a network of centres of excellence of key railway technology across the UK, which will come together to demonstrate the network’s work.
After demonstrating the 10¼-inch gauge locomotive Hydrogen Hero at Modern Railways RVE in 2018, the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) will again play an active role at the show. A key focus this year will be HydroFlex, the full size hydrogen-powered unit developed by BCRRE in partnership with Porterbrook.
However, the organisation will also be showcasing its latest research in digital systems together with a focus on the Centre of Excellence in Rolling Stock – led by the University of Huddersfield in conjunction with Newcastle and Loughborough Universities. A conference presentation by Professor Simon Iwnicki from the University of Huddersfield will provide a further opportunity to hear about the latest work within UKRRIN.
If you’d like to exhibit alongside them at the most focused event in the rolling stock calendar, drop an email to James Farrell – firstname.lastname@example.org , give him a call on 01780 755131 or complete the enquiry form here.
Visitor registration for the event which combines the exhibition, conference sessions with some of the most-respected names in the rolling stock and refurbishment industry and the sector’s most prestigious Meet The Buyer event – is free to industry professionals. Click here to register.
