Leading industry figures are set to address the conference at this year’s Modern Railways RVE show in Derby on 3 October.
Confirmed speakers (clockwise from top left) include:
∎ Professor Simon Iwnicki, Director of the Institute of Railway Research at the University of Huddersfield and Lead Academic in the UK Railway Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) Centre of Excellence in Rolling Stock;
∎ Bombardier’s UK Managing Director Phil Hufton;
∎ Mike Noakes, Head of Rail at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS); and
∎ Tim Burleigh, Eversholt Rail’s Head of External Relations.
Additional speakers will be confirmed closer to the event which will again be hosted by Modern Railways’ Ian Walmsley. The Modern Railways RVE conference has always sought to bring together a diverse range of presentations. Visitors to this year’s event will learn about developments in both the new-build and refurbishment sectors, the latest in rolling stock research and innovation and a Government view aligned towards opportunities for the supply chain.
Attendance at Modern Railways RVE, including the conference, is free to visitors, and pre-registration is now open. Last year 22% of visitors to the show were at director level and above, meaning Modern Railways RVE is a place where business is done.
Meanwhile, exhibitors continue to sign up for space at Modern Railways RVE, with ICP Datatec, William Cook, Tyco Electronics, E-Leather, Crowle Wharf, Network Certification Body and LPA Group among those companies most recently confirming their attendance.
Modern Railways RVE is an essential date in the diary for anyone involved in the rolling stock sector.
